Optimist International is an international service organization comprised of more than 3,000 clubs. Optimist Clubs serve their local communities by developing optimism as a philosophy of life; promoting an interest in good government and civic affairs; inspiring a respect for law; promoting patriotism and international accord, and friendship among all people; and aiding and encouraging the development of youth, in the belief that giving of one's self in service to others will advance the well-being of humankind, community life and the world.
